The history of Yurena Language School in Novo mesto goes
back to the academic year 1991. Since then, a little school with one classroom
has developed into a language school in which over 800 students belonging to
all age groups enrol every year. Yurena’s courses take place in 12 classrooms in which our
teachers use a wide range of up-to-date materials and technology. In 1994, the Slovene Ministry of Education verified Yurena’s
language teaching programmes for adults.
In January 1997, Yurena moved to a new location in the
historic centre of Novo mesto, which reinforced the commitment of Yurena’s staff
and helped improve the quality of teaching. On March 27th 2001, Yurena received the certification issued
by the National Examination Centre and thereby became an authorized
examination centre in which candidates can take national exams in English, German,
French, Italian and Hungarian. On September 12th 2006, Yurena obtained the ISO 9001:2000
certification. |
